Sure looks like Cheetos dust to me!

The girls were heavily working some pollen source this afternoon and it caught our eyes. It's not that normal to find a heavy amount of pollen coming into the hive in November, after all. It didn't take a lot of investigation to find the source of this bright orange pollen.

First flower spotted was White Aster, but it turns out its pollen is a creamy yellow.

Next flower found was a little Common Cat's Ear. This little flower also in the Aster family is a common low lying plant, but its pollen too is a yellow color.

After just a little more searching, we finally found our source Cheetos dust. The common Coltsfoot is in bloom with our late season warmth.
